美国歌手史琪特·戴维丝（SkeeterDavis），史琪特·戴维丝(1931年12月30日――2004年9月19日)，原名玛丽·弗朗西丝·佩尼克(MaryFrancesPenick)，是美国著名的女乡村音乐歌手，她最著名的金曲是1963年的"TheEndoftheWorld"。简介
史琪特出生在肯塔基州干岭市（Dry Ridge），是家中七个子女中的长女。早年和贝蒂·杰克·戴维丝（Betty Jack Davis）组成戴维丝姐妹乐队（The Davis Sisters）。1953年8月2日，贝蒂·杰克·戴维丝车祸去世后，史琪特·戴维丝走上了她个人的演唱道路。史琪特·戴维丝一生共获得过5
次格林美提名，并在1964，1965，1967和1972年4次荣获格莱美乡村最佳女歌手大奖。2004年9月19日史琪特·戴维丝因乳腺癌在纳什维尔去世，享年72岁。
史琪特·戴维丝1963年演唱的的《the end of the world》（世界末日）被评为当年最受欢迎的歌曲，被无数人翻唱过，但无人能及她原唱的魅力，这首歌也是她唯一的传世之作。2009年的电影《美国情事》选择《the end of the world》作为片尾曲，直抵人心的伤感。
